Poland launched the mandatory KSeF (Krajowy System e-Faktur) in February 2026 for large taxpayers, extending to all VAT-registered businesses in April 2026. All B2B and B2G invoices must pass through the government KSeF platform and receive a unique KSeF reference number.

KSeF launched as voluntary system
The Polish government launched the Krajowy System e-Faktur (KSeF) on a voluntary basis, allowing businesses to issue FA_VAT structured invoices and receive a KSeF reference number. Voluntary adoption begins.
B2G e-invoicing mandatory (public procurement)
Electronic invoicing becomes mandatory for invoices submitted under public procurement contracts above EU thresholds. Suppliers must send structured e-invoices via the PEF (Platforma Elektronicznego Fakturowania) system.
Mandatory KSeF postponed โ cybersecurity audit failure
The Ministry of Finance announced a postponement of the originally planned July 2024 mandatory KSeF date following a critical cybersecurity audit that found vulnerabilities in the KSeF platform. A new timeline was to be announced after remediation.
KSeF Act amended โ new mandatory dates confirmed
The Polish parliament enacted amendments to the KSeF Act setting new mandatory dates: 1 February 2026 for large taxpayers (annual turnover >PLN 200 million) and 1 April 2026 for all remaining VAT-registered businesses.

Full mandate: every business registered for VAT in Poland must issue all domestic B2B invoices through KSeF. Paper and PDF invoices no longer have legal standing for VAT purposes. KSeF reference number is required on every invoice.
