Scopevisio is a cloud ERP platform from Cologne, well-established in the German SME market with a focus on service businesses, agencies, and consultancies. We tested their e-invoicing capabilities to see how they handle Germany's B2B mandate requirements.

Who Should Use Scopevisio?

Scopevisio targets German service businesses — agencies, consultancies, IT service providers, law firms, and professional services in general. The platform's strengths are:

Project accounting and time tracking — billing clients accurately for hours and project phases
CRM + invoicing in one — from quote to invoice without leaving the platform
Full German tax compliance — ELSTER integration for electronic tax filing, DATEV export
GoBD-certified archiving included — no extra DMS software needed

It is less suitable for businesses needing inventory management, order fulfilment, or e-commerce integrations — those businesses should look at weclapp or Sage.

ZUGFeRD 2.3 Testing

We created test invoices in a Scopevisio trial account and generated ZUGFeRD 2.3 output.

Setup: Einstellungen → Buchhaltung → E-Rechnung → Format: ZUGFeRD 2.3 → Profil: EN 16931

KoSIT Validation: ✅ Passed — no errors.

The embedded XML checks out:

IBAN in payment means: Correctly formatted

XRechnung 3.0 Testing

We generated XRechnung 3.0 UBL output for a B2G invoice scenario (with a test Leitweg-ID).

KoSIT Validation: ✅ Passed — including Leitweg-ID validation.

The XRechnung output is cleanly formatted. Scopevisio correctly handles the updated XRechnung 3.0 payment means codes introduced in the Q4 2025 KoSIT specification update.

Peppol Support: A Note

Scopevisio's Peppol connectivity is via a third-party plugin rather than a native built-in integration. In practice, this means:

You need to configure the plugin separately (through Scopevisio's partner marketplace)
There is an additional cost (plugin pricing depends on the partner)
The integration works reliably once configured, but the setup is more involved than competitors like weclapp or easybill

For businesses that only invoice German B2B customers (no Belgian Peppol requirement, no B2G Peppol routing), native Peppol is not essential. But if you have Belgian customers or German government clients requiring Peppol delivery, factor in this extra setup step.

GoBD Archiving: A Standout Feature

Scopevisio's GoBD-certified archiving is genuinely one of its strengths. Every document — invoices, credit notes, receipts, contracts — is archived with:

Cryptographic hash at time of storage
Immutable write-once storage
Full audit log of access and any change attempts
GDPR-compliant access controls
Tax authority GDPdU/GoBD export format for audits

Crucially, this is included in the base subscription with no extra charge. Some competitors charge separately for GoBD-compliant archiving — Scopevisio doesn't.

DATEV Integration

DATEV export is clean and complete. Scopevisio generates DATEV EXTF files (the standard format for importing into DATEV software). This is tested and reliable — we verified compatibility with DATEV Kanzlei-Rechnungswesen.

For tax advisors managing their clients through Scopevisio's "Steuerberater" portal, there's a collaborative mode where the advisor can access their clients' books without needing a separate login for each client.

Project Billing and Time Tracking

A specific Scopevisio strength: you can track time by project and client, then generate invoices directly from the time records with one click. The time-to-invoice path is cleaner than in most other German SME tools.

What We'd Improve

Native Peppol — Built-in rather than via plugin would put Scopevisio on par with weclapp and easybill
E-commerce integrations — Limited integrations with Shopify, Amazon, or WooCommerce; not a tool for product businesses
Mobile invoicing — The mobile app supports invoice viewing and approval but not full invoice creation

Verdict

Scopevisio is a solid, well-built cloud ERP for German service businesses that need more than just invoicing. The e-invoicing features are fully compliant (ZUGFeRD 2.3 EN 16931, XRechnung 3.0), DATEV integration works well, and the included GoBD archiving is genuinely good value.

The Peppol limitation is real but not a deal-breaker for businesses without Belgian or multi-country invoicing needs. For pure German B2B e-invoicing with a full ERP, Scopevisio is a strong choice.
